Here are 10 Uncommonly used Filipino Words. These words are not often used by Filipinos because nowadays the words that we used are now changing and we are influenced by foreign language especially English, so it turns out we talk in taglish or english. 1. Labaha
English Translation: Razor
Definition: A keen-edged cutting instrument for shaving or cutting hair.
Use in a sentence: Kani-kanina lang ay nang-ahit si papa gamit ang labaha.

2. Salipawpaw
English Translation: Airplane
Definition: A powered heavier-than-air aircraft with fixed wings from which it derives most of its lift

3. Darungawan
English Translation: Window

5. Antipara

Definition: are devices consisting of glass or hard plastic lenses mounted in a frame that holds them in front of a person’s eyes.

6. Alimusom
English Translation: Scent
Definition: A distinctive smell especially one that is pleasant.

7. Pang-ulong Hatinig
English Translation: Earphones
Definition: A device that holds an earphone and a microphone in place on a person’s head.

Definition: An implement with two or more prongs used for lifting food to the mouth or holding it when cutting.

Definition: It is an amulet, or anything that is believed to have the power to save the person who owns it from any harm. The more popular Tagalog words currently being used are anting-anting and agimat.

Definition: chief male servant of a household
